Professor Profile: Dr. Fisher
Dr. Carla Fisher is not only a professor of the MACS program, but she is also a former student of the graduate program. Earning her undergrad from Florida Institute of Technology, and her doctorate from Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Fisher is now an assistant professor with the MACS program. She teaches the program’s health and communication sections
Dr. Fisher focus is researching intergenerational family communication and it is connection to wellness and health. According to her biography, Dr.Fisher recent award-winning research “examined how women diagnosed with breast cancer in young, middle, and later adulthood adapt through mother-daughter communication.”
